This Extended Warranty provides comprehensive repair or replacement coverage for Digital Departure Boards<\/strong> sold by UK Departure Boards LTD. The coverage applies in cases of Accidental Damage<\/strong> or Mechanical\/Electrical Breakdown<\/strong> occurring after the expiration of any applicable manufacturer\u2019s guarantee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The warranty is valid for a one-year period<\/strong> from the date of purchase and is available at an annual cost (see Section 4 for pricing details).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The warranty terms are designed to offer peace of mind, ensuring uninterrupted functionality of your Digital Departure Board. Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully, as they outline the scope of coverage, exclusions, and the process for making a claim.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Definitions<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

  • Administrator\/We\/Us\/Our:<\/strong> UK Departure Boards LTD, a registered Limited Company in England and Wales under Co. Registered Number 12166351. Registered Office: 8 Great Meadow Road, Bradley Stoke, Bristol, BS32 8DA.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Insured Item:<\/strong> The specific Digital Departure Board<\/strong> described in the warranty certificate issued at the time of purchase.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Period of Cover:<\/strong> One (1) year from the date specified on your warranty certificate.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • You\/Your:<\/strong> The individual or organization listed as the insured party on the warranty certificate.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Accidental Damage:<\/strong> Any unforeseen and unintentional damage caused to the insured item that impacts its functionality, such as drops, impacts, or liquid exposure.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Negligent Mishandling:<\/strong> Improper or intentional misuse, neglect, failure to follow manufacturer guidelines, or unauthorized tampering with the item\u2019s casing (not covered under this warranty).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Theft:<\/strong> Loss of the insured item through theft or other criminal activities (not covered).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    3. Cover Description<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    This warranty provides coverage for repair or replacement due to the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    3.1 Accidental Damage Cover<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Coverage includes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • Repairs for damage caused by accidental incidents such as drops, liquid spills, or other accidental impacts that render the item non-functional.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • The board needs to be carefully packaged and sent to our distribution centre for assessment and review.  Once inspected we will confirm whether the item can be repaired or needs replacing under the warranty scheme.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      Exclusions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      • Negligent mishandling<\/strong>, such as improper securing, intentional misuse, or unauthorised modifications and intentionally opening the casing or tampering with the software.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Theft, loss, or disappearance<\/strong> of the insured item.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Cosmetic damage<\/strong> (e.g., scratches or dents) that does not impair the functionality of the Digital Departure Board.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

        3.2 Breakdown Cover<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Coverage includes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        • Repairs for mechanical or electrical breakdown<\/strong> occurring during normal use, after the manufacturer\u2019s warranty expires.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

          Examples of covered failures:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

            \n
          • Display or screen malfunctions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          • Power supply failures.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          • Internal component malfunctions, such as processor or control board failures.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

            Exclusions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

            • Damage due to improper installation<\/strong> or failure to follow setup instructions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
            • Issues caused by viruses<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
            • Intentionally tempering with the coding of the board or intentionally opening the casing.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
            • Repairs or alterations performed by unauthorised technicians.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

              4. Pricing<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

              The warranty is offered in three tiers, based on the model of the Digital Departure Board:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

              • Desktop Departures Board:<\/strong> \u00a327.75 (inc VAT) per annum.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
              • Classic Departure Board:<\/strong> \u00a345.00 (inc VAT) per annum.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
              • Pro Departure Board:<\/strong> \u00a357.75 (inc VAT) per annum.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

                The warranty must be purchased either at the time of item purchase or within 60 days<\/strong> of the purchase date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                5. How We Will Service Your Item<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

                When a valid claim is made, we will provide service as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                1. Repair the insured item<\/strong> at an authorised service center.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                2. Replace the insured item<\/strong> with an equivalent model if repair is not feasible.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                3. Issue a financial settlement<\/strong> up to the purchase price of the insured item.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

                  6. How to Make a Claim<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

                  To file a claim, follow these steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                  2. Provide Documentation:<\/strong> Include proof of purchase, warranty certificate, and details of the fault or incident.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                  3. Follow Instructions:<\/strong> Ship the item to our repair facility at your cost via a tracked service. You are responsible for the product until we receive it. Once we have repaired or replaced your board, you will be responsible for a return shipping fee of \u00a33.20 per Desktop Departures board \/ \u00a37.50 per Classic\/Pro board (within the UK) outside the UK is on request.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

                    Claims will be assessed promptly, and we aim to complete repairs or replacements within a reasonable timeframe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                    7. Exclusions<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

                    This warranty does not cover the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                    • Damage resulting from negligent mishandling<\/strong> or unauthorised modifications.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                    • Theft or loss of the insured item.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                    • Cosmetic damage that does not affect operational functionality.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                    • Issues covered by the manufacturer\u2019s warranty.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                    • Repairs required due to improper installation<\/strong>, unauthorized repairs<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                    • Routine maintenance, cleaning, or wear-and-tear.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

                      8. Cancellation<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

                      You have the right to cancel the warranty under the following terms:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                      • Within 30 Days:<\/strong> A full refund will be issued, provided no claims have been made.<\/li>\n\n\n\n

                          \u2714 Unlimited repairs of your product (including parts, and labour).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                          \u2714 Replacement product (if we cannot repair it or determine that it is uneconomical to repair).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                          \u2714 Vouchers to the value of a replacement product (if we cannot reasonably arrange a replacement).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                          What is not insured?<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

                          \u2718 Loss, cosmetic damage, neglect, or deliberate damage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                          \u2718 Costs arising from not being able to use your digital departure board or damage to other property.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                          \u2718 Costs for replacing any accessories (other than those provided with your product).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                          \u2718 Theft or attempted theft of the digital departure board.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                          \u2718 Damage resulting from improper installation or unauthorized repairs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                          \u2718 Issues covered under the manufacturer\u2019s warranty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                          \u2718 Product return shipping costs in either direction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                          ! You must be at least 18 years old and a resident in the UK.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                          \u2714 Your digital departure board is covered under this policy while it is situated anywhere in the world; however, any repairs or replacements under this policy will only be carried out within the UK.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                          What are my obligations?<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

                          \u2714 To provide accurate and truthful information when making a claim.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                          \u2714 To install, maintain, and use the digital departure board according to the manufacturer\u2019s instructions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                          \u2714 To ensure the digital departure board meets relevant safety standards and is safe to work on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                          \u2714 To ensure the digital departure board is packed and protected appropriately with insured shipping for transit back to us for repair.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                          When and how do I pay?<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

                          \u2714 The extended warranty is available at the following rates:
                             – Desktop Departures Board: \u00a327.75 per annum
                             – Classic Departure Board: \u00a345.00 per annum
                             – Pro Departure Board: \u00a357.75 per annum<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                          \u2714 Payment must be made in full at the time of warranty purchase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                          When does the cover start and end?<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

                          \u2714 Cover starts from the purchase date of your digital departure board or the purchase date of the warranty if bought within 60 days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                          \u2714 Cover lasts for One (1) year from the date specified on your warranty certificate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
