This kit adds USB audio support to our first generation Desktop Departure’s. The kit comes with a ultra thin USB micro cable and a USB audio line out adapter. With this kit you can plug the adapter into the aux input of any device that supports 3.5mm aux input.

Installation

  • Plug the Mirco USB end of the kit into your board’s Micro USB connector (the second one in).
  • Plug the USB audio adapter into the USB cable socket.
  • Plug one end of the 3.5mm jack into the USB adapter (with the head phones icon)
  • Plug the other end of the 3.5mm jack into a speaker / amp aux input port.
  • Select ‘External USB Speaker’ from the device selection list.
Do not plug USB speakers directly into this adapter. A powered USB hub would need to be used in this situation.
