Returns

Our policy lasts 14 days. If 14 days have gone by since you have received your item, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted:

  • Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.
  • Any item that is returned more than 14 days after delivery

Warranty and Repairs

Our products come with a 12 month warranty in respect of it’s body and electrical and electronic components when used in accordance with our guidance upon use. The boards are intended as a indoor  domestic item and warranty does not apply to boards used in other environments.

We warrant that the products are free from damage or defect upon receipt by you. Products damaged in transit MUST be reported to us as soon as possible and within 30 days of delivery and returned to us, if required, within 30 days of delivery or such other period as we may agree with you where we have been notified within 30 days. Note this part of the warranty extends to damage in transit or non function of components upon delivery only. We do not provide a warranty in respect of the various data feeds boards use from third parties to provide information displays or any internet services that are required to give function to the components. This warranty does not extend to damage caused after delivery, such as when mounting the board. Returns will be professionally examined by our team to determine the likely cause of any defects reported. Damaged or defective boards returned under this head may be refunded, replaced or repaired. Damage in transit claims outside of the 30 day period will come with an onus upon you to prove damage was caused in the original transit to you, however see repairs service below.

In addition the warranty of 365 days from delivery date covers the continued functionality of components as intended through normal and proper use in accordance with our guidance. (Again this does not extend to any third party data feeds that may give application to the functioning of the board components)  In the event of a failure of a component notified to us within the warranty period, we will repair or replace, at our discretion, the defective components  and return the board to you at our expense within a reasonable period of time. Note: damage to components caused by misuse, accidental or malicious damage or use outside of our guidance or outside of our terms of service, or caused during a failed attempt (other than by us) to repair a defective item are not covered by the warranty. If a board is returned to us and in our opinion the damage or defect to the board has not occurred in a manner covered by the warranty then we will notify you of our decision. We will advise you if we a believe a repair is none the less possible and provide you with an estimate of the costs of repair. You may then decide if you want to proceed or not with the repair. Boards where no warranty or repair work is undertaken may be collected or returned to you at your expense.

Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.

Late or missing refunds

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact paypal, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Exchanges

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at contact@ukdepartureboards.co.uk and send your item to: 8 Great Meadow Road, Bristol, BST, BS32 8DA, United Kingdom.

Shipping

To return your product, you should mail your product to: 8 Great Meadow Road, Bristol, BS32 8DA, United Kingdom.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.

If you are shipping an item over £100, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item. Carefully packaging the item and using a tracked/insured shipping service is the responsibility of the sender. UK Departure Boards LTD will not be liable for items damaged or gone missing in the post.
