Welcoming Mark to the UK Departure Boards Team

UK Departure Boards has grown a lot over the past couple of years. New products, new features, a growing community of rail enthusiasts, and a whole lot of exciting things in the pipeline. Keeping on top of customer support and repairs alongside all of that has become increasingly difficult, and some of you have very reasonably wondered what’s going on behind the scenes.

The good news is that we’ve found exactly the right person to help.

Say hello to Mark

Mark comes to us from his own business, Mark’s Trains, where he has built a well-respected reputation in the model railway community for precision DCC and sound conversions, servicing, and repairs. He’s a fully qualified HGV and PSV mechanic, electrician, and welder with an engineering background spanning well over a decade, and he holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering to boot. He also has a genuine passion for all things railway, which makes him a natural fit here.

Mark has previously worked on full electrical overhauls on preserved railway vehicles, so he knows his way around complex technical problems. More importantly, he genuinely cares about doing things properly and keeping customers informed every step of the way, which is something we take seriously at UK Departure Boards too.

From now on, Mark will be handling customer support and the occasional repair. If you’ve got a question, a fault to report, or a board that needs looking at, you can reach him through the usual contact route.

This is a really exciting step for UK Departure Boards, and we’re thrilled to have someone of Mark’s calibre on board. We’re confident you’ll find him just as helpful, knowledgeable, and easy to deal with as we have.

Welcome to the team, Mark!
